The story
The story behind DYKZ.
Nice to meet you, I'm Marnix Zandijk and I founded DYKZ. Over the past 20 years, I worked in-house as a MarCom specialist for a range of companies and clients. For large insurers, intermediaries and wholesalers, but also for start-ups and smaller businesses.
When it came to websites, I kept seeing the same pattern. A beautiful website was delivered, but a few months later it got stuck on an outdated plugin, a broken update or a theme that suddenly stopped working as it should. Or, over time, new wishes came up. For example, to expand, adjust the design or add extra features. The marketer or business owner then had to call in help again. Often at extra cost or with a long lead time.
That annoyed me. Not because CMS systems are bad, but because they are often used for business owners who have no need at all for all those extra layers of technology, updates and self-management.
Most business owners simply don't have the time or the inclination to work on their website after a day's work, do they? They just want a reliable website that performs well. Fast, stable, without hassle or extra costs.
That became the reason for DYKZ. In 2024, I founded DYKZ to build professional websites the way they should be built. Without unnecessary technology, without vulnerabilities and without maintenance bills. Just craftsmanship that keeps working for years, without you having to look after it if you don't want to.
I do keep an eye on it, by the way. Twice a year, I get in touch, with no obligation, to discuss any new developments, opportunities or wishes.

I build differently because I can. Many web builders can adapt a CMS or a template and choose that convenience. I write W3C-valid HTML. My philosophy is simple. Build a website as light and clean as possible. Neatly structured and following the W3C guidelines, so that the website keeps working even after years.

No system around it that constantly needs updating to stay secure, and no paying every month to keep everything running.
