I'm Marnix Zandijk. Behind DYKZ there's no large team with a rotating cast of faces. Just someone who, after 20 years in online marketing and communications, knows exactly how a website should perform. No detours, no noise, no hassle.
Why DYKZ
Over the past 20 years I've worked as an employed MarCom specialist for various companies and clients. For large insurers, intermediaries and wholesalers, but also for start-ups and smaller businesses.
When it came to websites, I kept seeing the same pattern. A website would be delivered looking great, but a few months later it would grind to a halt because of an outdated plugin, a broken update, or a theme that suddenly stopped working the way it used to. Or, over time, there'd be new wishes for design or functionality. The marketer or business owner would then have to bring in help again. Often at extra cost, or with a long lead time.
That frustrated me. Not because CMS platforms are bad, but because they're often used by business owners who don't actually need all those extra layers of technology, updates and management. Most business owners just want a website that works well. Fast, stable, for years on end. And let's be honest, most business owners have no time or desire to deal with their website after hours.
That realisation became the reason for starting DYKZ. In 2024 I founded DYKZ to build professional websites the way they should be built. Without unnecessary technology, without vulnerabilities, and without maintenance bills. Just proper craftsmanship that keeps working for years, without you having to think about it if you don't want to.

A website that loads slowly loses visitors and revenue. Speed isn't an extra at DYKZ, it's the starting point of every project.
Simplicity:

Honest advice:
If a custom build isn't the best solution for your situation, I'll simply say so. I'd rather give honest advice than a sales pitch.
Why I build websites "differently"
I build differently because I can. Many website builders can just customise a CMS or template. I write W3C-valid HTML. My philosophy is simple: build a website as lean and clean as possible. Neatly structured, in line with W3C guidelines, and WCAG-compliant where required.
No CMS:
No underlying system that needs constant updates to stay secure.

No loose, third-party pieces of code that can clash with each other or become outdated.
No templates:
Every website is built from scratch, specifically for your business. No template that looks the same everywhere.
