Webshop design.
Selling without the hassle
Selling online doesn’t have to be complicated. Yet I see many webshops that load slowly, have a checkout with too many steps or depend on a string of subscriptions. That costs customers and money.
I build webshops that are fast, clear and fit your range of products. Not a package you never fully understand, but a shop where you know what is inside.
- FastClean code and light pages
- Easy orderingFew steps between choosing and paying
- PaymentIncluding iDEAL and credit card
- Fixed priceClear upfront, no surprises
The starting point
A webshop is a shop, not a website with a shopping basket.
A visitor who wants to buy something has little patience. They look for a product, compare, hesitate and order, or drop off. Every obstacle on that road costs revenue: a slow page, a mandatory account, an unclear shipping price.
That is why I design a shop from the buyer’s side. What do they want to know, when and in what order? Only then do I decide on the technology.
What a good shop has
Four things that matter.
Product pages that sell
Clear photos, a clear description, price and shipping costs visible immediately. No surprises at checkout, because those are the main reason people drop off.
Fast ordering
As few steps as possible and no mandatory account. Ordering as a guest must be possible. The form asks only for what is needed.
Payment methods
Your customers pay with what they know. In the Netherlands that is iDEAL first and foremost, complemented by credit card, for example. I connect the methods that suit your target group.
Speed and mobile
Most visitors come via a phone. The shop must work just as well there as on a computer, and load fast, even on a slow connection.
What you get
A shop that is ready to sell.
In essence, your webshop includes:
- Product pages and categories, tailored to your range
- A shopping basket and a short, clear checkout
- Payment via the methods you want to use
- Automatic confirmation emails for the customer and for you
- An admin area where you manage products and orders yourself
Management
Who adds the products?
That depends on the size of your range. With a few dozen products, a simple admin area is enough, in which you add products, change prices and view orders yourself. If you have hundreds of products or a link to a stock system, we discuss a suitable solution.
Whatever you choose: you don’t depend on me for ordinary changes. I consider that a requirement for a good shop.
What comes with it
Besides the technology: the rules.
A webshop is subject to legal requirements. Think of clear prices including VAT, a right of withdrawal, terms and conditions and a privacy statement. I make sure the places for these are present in the shop and point out what you need to supply yourself. I am not a lawyer, so for the content of terms and conditions I recommend seeking legal advice.
Accessibility is also becoming more important. Since 28 June 2025, EU requirements apply to the accessibility of webshops, among others, with exceptions for very small businesses. That is why I build my shops from the start with good contrast, keyboard operation and readable forms. Whether the rules also apply to your business, you can check with the Dutch Authority for Consumers and Markets (ACM).
After the start
A shop is never finished.
The first order is the beginning. Afterwards you look at what customers buy, where they drop off and which questions they ask. You use such insights to improve product pages, simplify the checkout or adjust your range.
I help you with that if you want, with hourly arrangements or a small package. You don’t have to, because you can manage the shop yourself. But it is nice to know there is someone who knows the technology when you run into a question.
A good sign of a healthy shop: the pages load fast, the checkout works without hassle and customers come back. That is what I build towards.
How it works
From first conversation to first order.
Step 1
Getting acquainted
We discuss your products, customers and wishes. Then I quote a fixed price.
Step 2
Designing
I work out the structure and look, so you can review the shop before I build it.
Step 3
Building and filling
I build the shop, connect the payment methods and add the first products.
Step 4
Testing
Together we place test orders. Everything works before the first customer orders.
Step 5
Going live and aftercare
The shop goes live. In the first weeks I keep watch and fix whatever stands out.
Why DYKZ
A shop without unnecessary layers.
Many webshop solutions work with subscriptions, extra modules and a string of components you pay for every month. I build in clean code, without heavy packages. That makes the shop faster and clearer, and you pay no monthly costs for the website itself.
You get a 36-month warranty on what I build. If something breaks that is my fault, I fix it.
For whom
Who this suits best.
My approach suits entrepreneurs with a manageable range: their own collection, a few product lines or a niche. If you have thousands of items or complex links with a till and stock system, I will honestly say if a larger platform suits you better.
What does a webshop cost?
That depends on the number of products, the payment methods and any integrations. After a short conversation I quote a fixed price.
Are there monthly costs?
Not for the website itself. There are costs from third parties, such as hosting, a domain and transaction fees from your payment provider. We discuss those upfront.
Can I add products myself?
Yes. You get an admin area in which you manage products, prices and orders yourself.
Can an existing website get a webshop?
Yes, in many cases. Whether it fits in the existing website or needs a new setup, I look at in the consultation.
